....Keeps the doctor away. Yeah, yeah, our mothers always told us that. But is it really true?
We all know that apples have many health benefits. They range from having high amounts of antioxidants, fiber, and can help prevent diseases such as Diabetes and Parkinsons, along with many other benefits. Does this mean that I should eat an apple a day, just like mom told me?

Well there are other ways to get these awesome benefits. I mean, apples are great and all but after a while they can get boring. I have started a new daily regimen that includes Apple Cider Vinegar.
What is ACV, you're probably wondering. Just another type of vinegar? Not exactly. Have you ever seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding? Toula's dad used to say "Windex fixes everything! Just spray some Windex on it!" I feel as if ACV, is almost the same thing.
There are so many different uses for Apple Cider Vinegar. You can cook with it, clean with it, kill weeds with it etc. It can help detoxify your liver, and us college students can definitely use a little help with that! Also there have been studies proving weightloss with a daily intake of ACV.
The brand I always purchase is Braggs. It is unpasteurized, Organic, unfiltered, ACV with the "mother". Everyday after I have lunch, I take about six different vitamins (post coming soon) with a glass of water. I then pour Apple Cider Vinegar into a shot glass and down it with water as my chaser. Remember, I'm a college girl here! ;) In my opinion, this is the easiest way to take it. It is very important to follow the ACV with a glass of water, and I highly suggest not taking it on an empty stomach. Others will mix a teaspoon of ACV in a glass of water and slowly sip on that, but I prefer just washing down the vinegar taste with water!
Ever had a REALLY bad sunburn? This SpringBreak my back was burnt to a crisp. What did I turn to? Apple Cider Vinegar! I diluted ACV with water in a bowl and had my sweet mother dip cotton balls and apply it to my back 3-4 times. After about an hour the smell fades away, but the relief is instant! The next day my back was less red and a week later I still was not peeling.
I will keep you all up to date on any changes/weightloss effects that this ACV is having on me. I made it part of my daily regimen because it is just so beneficial to your body, it could only make you healthier!
Have you ever tried Apple Cider Vinegar? What do you use it for?
